I have been on an intense journey lately. At some point, I began to feel some tiredness in my body, and I said to myself, “maybe it’s time to take a break”. But the break I wanted was to relax from that place of intense engagement and deliberate pursuit.
Please be wise, we have a responsibility to take care of this tent (body) while we are here, but the blazing fire within must never dim. That was the break I taught I needed, just a little cool and a bit of ‘normal’.
But from the depths of my heart I heard a cry ;
No! No you won’t stop now.
No, you won’t wait on yourself
You would rather wait on the Lord
He gives power to the weak,
and to those who have no might He increases strength
Wait on the Lord! Not on yourself,
and you would see the victory of the Lord.
Those words reinvigorated me to my bones. I found help within to continue. I found help against the weariness that attacked my soul.
Fellow sojourner, do not be deceived. There is no break time from intimacy. There is no pause in the place of seeking the Kingdom. While you obey wisdom to give your body what is due in righteousness, the blazing torch of affection for the Father’s Heart, and the deliberate pursuit of the things He has freely given to you must NOT STOP! neither must it PAUSE!
The enemy deceives with the idea of ‘just a break’ , and while we take our beauty sleep we miss the dawning of the new day.
Watchman, keep your watch! There is grace to do all to stand, and to stand with God’s full armour on you, in righteous, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
The kingdom in you cannot be be shaken, stay in the pursuit, stay in the waiting, stay on your watch, and while you steward the revelation of His Heart to you in the secret, His glory takes ground within you and without.
God is raining abundance of grace on true waiters this season. This is not break time…it’s time to gather Momentum!!!
Soar!!!
Omo Oba.
