What if Morning is not an event?
What if Morning is a shift in your perspectives?
What if Morning is your ability to rejoice in the face of uncertainty?
What If Morning is from within and not without?
These were the questions that set today’s blog post in motion. The Lord asked me those questions recently and the unraveling of these thoughts have brought me into great liberty.
In the last few weeks, I have been in a place of pondering and watching. I have been a place of contemplation, waiting and wondering, ‘When shall all these end?’. I was tired of the news, the challenges faced by people, and the picture of hopelessness that seemed to be plastered everywhere
I was Tired.
During that period, the Lord didn’t seem to deal with the issues I kept complaining about, instead he focused on ME.
I began to see again, the efficacy of the Life of God in man, and the resident power in that life to change circumstances, and change us.
Sometimes, the narrative doesn’t change from without, it changes from within. When you come into a perspective that is higher than your circumstances, you rise above it.
There is a place in God where the narrative is completely different. There is a place in God where you see that the earth is indeed full of his glory, even in the face of chaos and seeming hopelessness.
If God is not downcast, if God is not depressed, if God is not disoriented, then we should take our cue from him.
You would always be influenced by the environment you are conscious of, and the place where we live from is IN GOD.
Does this mean you walk in deliberate denial of the realities and challenges around you? No. Does that mean you would not have empathy on those who are struggling? Absolutely not. In fact, scriptures admonishes us to mourn with those who mourn.
But there is a reason why you are called SALT and LIGHT. You are here because your presence can release an influence higher than what currently obtains. You can culture the earth with Joy, Kindness, laughter, Faith and HOPE.
You can speak order to the chaos. You can enforce justice by the declaration of Truth. You are not at the mercy of the system, you are connected to a God who RULES in the affairs of men.
Morning is a place in God where we learn to walk accurately in his provision for every season. Morning is the place where we are cultured and influenced by the thoughts of God for us, regardless of what we see around us. It is a place of ascension, above the realities that seek to weigh us down into a place of Joy and brilliance in God. It is that place of strength out of weakness, of hope out of despair. That place of the God-kind of influence in the face of darkness.
Morning comes, not by passivity and acceptance for all that you see around you. Morning comes by a deliberate engagement of the unseen realities in God, and an unwavering belief in his promises.
The world is desperately in need of answers, and it lies within you – the life of God IN you.
So let Faith rise, and the walls of darkness be crumpled.
Let the words for the future bubble from within and hopelessness be judged!
Let the song of the morning be heard and dispel the fog of anxiety.
Let the Light shine from within and judge the darkness that we see.
Let the words of prophecy flow forth to define and landscape the future.
Let the World see Morning because you are in it!
Take a deep breath. This is your finest hour.
